What Do Writers Think About?

Today’s prompt for 30 Days to Thinking Like a Writer , is about you as a writer. What are you thinking about these days? What issues concern you? What are you passionate about?

Let’s find out.

Start your 750 words by typing these words and then continuing:

I don’t know what I’m thinking about these days. But if I had to guess, I would say ____________

Don’t pre-think this one. Just let the words flow. Do not stop until you’ve done the entire 750words!

In the comments, what surprised you about what you wrote? How can you add some of that passion into the fiction you are currently writing?

  1. I’m enjoying your daily prompts. Thanks for posting them!

I wasn’t surprised by what I wrote from this prompt, but it did underscore the difference in my thinking about my work from 2 years ago.

Not sure if the passion will show up in my writing, but I know the professionalism already has because my rear end is in this chair meeting deadlines. LOL.

  2. I think I am always surprised by what I think!
Yes, of course, your passion will show up! It always does in subtle ways, if not in such obvious ways.
