Best Worst

I’m off teaching a professional development today and I leave you with an open ended question. I hope to come home to lots of comments:

  1. 1) Some say it’s having written! But some days, it’s when you finally ‘get’ what you want to do with the piece you’ve been struggling with. Then you don’t want to leave it alone. Best of all is being able to spend so much time doing it.
    2) Struggling to achieve the above state! And the fact that it hardly seems to pay a fair rate and many people in the industry treat creatives as though they are scum.
    3) Revenge – hah! No, it’s an immense feeling of satisfaction. My book is finally out in the world.
    4) Not being able to change it!!

    Good questionnaire, Darcy – thanks.

  2. Roz:
I agree that it’s getting the time to do what you know needs to be done. It’s a pleasure to have the leisure to do it right.
